The School Uniform

I step out of the shower, and go about my morning ritual as if my whole world hasn’t been destroyed. I brush, dry and straighten my hair, apply make-up and dress in the dorky school uniform- white socks, short red plaid skirt, white shirt, red and navy blue striped tie, my two inch Mary Janes and navy blue blazer with gold trimmings. Yep. I feel like a dork.

Dance Dress and Depressed Morning After

I scowl at Lucas, who is smirking at me victoriously. I'm dressed in my strapless blue nice-casual dress that reaches my mid thigh, and a pair of five inch stilettos. I've done my hair in casual curls and am wearing natural make-up. 

"What?" I snap as he continues to stare at me.  

"You look hot, Bo." he says, smirk intensifying

The weekend passes in a dizzying haze of headaches and depression. I can’t bring myself to get out of bed, and I spend my time under my comforter, just crying.

“No!” I shriek, struggling in his arms, “don’t throw me in there!” He grins.

“Promise to go the party then.” He bargains with me.

“Nuh-uh!” I pout, then I renew my struggles as he approaches the edge.

“Last chance Bo, or you’re going in.” he laughs.
